WoW Herbalism Guide

Ultimate WoW Guide

Herbalism is a gathering profession where you find herbs throughout each zone usually in the mountainous areas in different fields. Herbalism is used mostly for the alchemy profession, but some herbs are used for other professions such as enchanting and jewelcrafting. If you choose herbalism as your first profession, it is recommended to choose alchemy as your secondary.

First, you need to find one of the numerous trainers to learn the skill as an herbalist. As with any other profession, you need to train as you reach your skill from 1-50, 51-150, 151-225, 226-300, 301-375, and 376-450. In this WoW Herbalism Guide, we will walk you through the trainers and best areas to farm to level up your herbalism skill.

WoW Herbalism Guide (Alliance) 1-75

For new Alliance characters, you will find Peacebloom and Silverleaf throughout the new areas. You can find plenty of herbs in the new areas, but if you are simply trying to level the best places is Elwynn Forest. There is plenty of room and open areas to find herbs

WoW Herbalism Guide (Horde) 1-75

New Horde characters can find plenty of new herbs through all the new areas. The area around Thunder Bluff is large, and the best place to find herbs quickly is Silverpine Forest outside of Undercity. The area is smaller and has plenty of herbs to increase your skill level.

WoW Herbalism Guide Level 75 – 150

Whether you are Horde or Alliance, the best place to level after reaching 75 is the Barrens. Although, if you are Alliance, the Barrens is Horde territory, so you will be red to them. You can also farm herbs in Westfall for a safer route since it is Alliance territory.

WoW Herbalism Guide Level 150-225

There are plenty of areas to find herbs at this level. Wetlands is a neutral area that used to have a lot of PVP prior to the expansion packs. It has become quieter since then and it is a great place to find herbs. You can also find herbs in the Arathi Highlands area by the farms and in the mountainous areas surrounding the zone. Arathi Highlands has a lot of PVP, so be ready to protect your stash.

WoW Herbalism Guide Level 225-300

Feralas is an incredible area to find herbs. If you are a lower level, make sure to stay away from the Dire Maul area. It is a level 60 instance although the Feralas area is a 50ish zone.

After reaching herbalism 250, the Plaguelands are great areas to reach 300. It is a quiet zone even though it is PVP. You can find plenty of good herbs that you can use in potions or sell for gold at the auction house.

WoW Herbalism Guide Level 300-375

Level 300 reaches the expansion pack skill. Spending some time in Hellfire Peninsula is the best area for collecting herbs. After reaching about 330, head to Zangarmarsh, Terrokar, and Nagrand for the best variety and plenty amounts of herb nodes to farm.

WoW Herbalism Guide Level 375 – 450

Herbalism at this level has a lot of PVP since the expansion pack. You can start farming quickly by farming in the starting areas for Alliance and Horde such as Howling Fjord and Borean Tundra.

After spending some time in those areas, you can head to Icecrown and Storm Peaks to find herbs for raid pots and flasks.

It is recommended that you choose Alchemy along with Herbalism. This WoW Herbalism guide goes great with the WoW Alchemy guide
