WoW Engineering Guide

Ultimate WoW Guide

Engineering is an expensive but fun profession. This WoW Engineering Guide will help you level your engineering skill quickly and effectively. Engineering usually costs more than you can make in the auction house, but it is a great profession for PVP or a secondary character. The profession has several uses from helping increase your gathering skills to helping buff yourself for PVP encounters.

WoW Engineering Guide Materials

Although most engineers have their second profession as mining, you will need plenty of materials from different professions. This is probably why engineering is regarded as such the most expensive profession.

Level 1-75 Engineering

Start off by making blasting powder and a handful of copper bolts.   This will easily bring you to skill level 50.   Reach skill level 75 by creating copper tubes that will bring you to skill level 75.

Level 75-150 Engineering

Make course blasting powder and course dynamite to continue your skill until you reach approximately skill level 90.   Switch over to copper modulator and silver contacts that will get you to skill level 105.   Next create 25 Bronze Tubes and about 5 standard scopes.   The rest of the skill leveling can be done by making many heavy blasting powders.

Level 150-225 Engineering

Start by making explosive sheep which are fun for PVP and you can make about 20 of them to reach 175.   Solid blasting powder is cheap, and it can get you to 195.   About 20 mithril tubes will then bring you to 205.   Create about 5 or 10 unstable triggers, and follow up with about 30 mithril slugs.   This will bring you to about 225 engineering.

Level 225-300 Engineering

Make about 10 mithril casings and a few hi-explosive bombs that will bring you to 250.   Make about 50 blasting powder which will bring you to about 270.   Creating thorium tubes and thorium shells will then bring you to skill level 300.

Level 300-375 Engineering

Getting to 375 engineering is pretty simple.   Make sure you have plenty of fel iron bars and make as many fel iron bolts as possible.   That should bring you to about 325 where you can make about 10 adamantite grenades and 20 white smoke flares.

Level 350-450 Engineering

Create about 10 overcharged capacitor, 8 explosive decoys, and about 15 froststeel tubes. This will bring you to or at least close to 400.

Create 5 diamond-cut refractor scopes and about 10 saronite bombs and you should be around 415 skill level.  Create 5 mana injector kits, and noise machines and you should be close or at 450.  Most recipes go green at 440, so leveling takes a while after this point.

I hope this WoW Engineering guide helps you level. Since this is such an expensive profession I suggest you check out the guide below for a gold guide as well as a much more detailed WoW Engineering guide.
